NCU offers recreational and intramural athletics rather than intercollegiate competition. Participation is voluntary and carries no additional fee.
Offerings
Intramural basketball
Six-week fall and spring leagues played at a partner facility near the Jacksonville campus.
Coastal running club
Weekend group runs along the St. Johns River, with a logged-mileage option for students at a distance.
Virtual fitness challenge
Term-long step and activity challenge tracked online and open to every enrolled student.
Recreational soccer
Casual weekend matches organized by students with an adviser present.
Not an NCAA member
Northeast Coastal University does not sponsor intercollegiate athletics and is not a member of the NCAA, NAIA, or any athletic conference. No athletic scholarships are offered.
