For Students:

1. Student Application, Acceptance and Contract

Upon completion and submission of the online application form for a Program of Study, your application will undergo processing. Please note that the application must be submitted in English. If your application is approved, you will receive an offer letter outlining the specific details of your Program and Start Date. Acceptance of your application will occur when you formally accept our offer by following the link provided. At this stage, a contractual agreement will be established between you and us.

1.1 Certificate Acceptance Disclaimer – Northeast Coastal University

Northeast Coastal University is dedicated to transparency regarding its accreditation and partnerships. 

Please note that while we take pride in the quality of education we provide, certificates issued by Northeast Coastal University may not be universally accepted by all institutions or organizations. Recognition is primarily extended by those entities that have formally recognized and accredited our university.

The university cannot guarantee the acceptance of its certificates by other institutions or organizations for purposes such as admission, employment, or other related matters. Consequently, the student acknowledges and agrees not to hold Northeast Coastal University liable for any adverse consequences arising from the non-acceptance of its certificates by external entities.

2. Your Right to Make Changes

Should you desire a modification to the Program for which you have applied, kindly get in touch with us. We will assess the feasibility of the requested change and inform you accordingly.

3. Our Rights to Make Changes

We reserve the right to make changes to a Course:
3.1  To reflect changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements.
3.2  To implement minor technical adjustments and improvements, which will not affect the delivery of a Course.
3.3  To ensure consistency with United States Higher Education sector practice and guidance, this may include renaming or improving Course materials terms to comply with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
3.4  Minor technical adjustments and enhancements may be implemented, as long as they do not impact the delivery of a Course.
3.5  In the event of more substantial alterations to a Course, we will provide prior notification of at least 30 days.
3.6 If the Course contains digital content (such as software or an eBook), we may update or require you to update digital content, provided that the digital content shall always match the original description.
3.7  If you do not agree with the updated terms, you may contact us to terminate the contract.

4. Withdrawal from your Program/Course

To initiate the process of withdrawing from your Program and terminating the contract with us, kindly inform us by:

4.1 Sending an email to admissions@necu.education. Please ensure that you include your name, Student ID, Program, phone number, and email address in the email communication.

5. Termination of Program

5.1 We reserve the right to terminate your Program if you provided false documents or information that is misleading or inaccurate which is sufficiently serious to have affected our offer of a place on your Program.
5.2 Fail to meet the Minimum Study Requirement or you fail to meet the requirements of the Rules of Assessment.
5.3 Have not complied with our policies or you are guilty of inappropriate conduct or are acting in a way that detrimentally affects the learning of others.

6. Technology

Device: To participate in our courses effectively, you will need access to a computer or tablet with an internet connection.

Internet Connection: For optimal experience, we recommend a broadband connection, especially for classes featuring video content. The minimum internet speed is 2mbps.

Browser: Any commonly used web browser will suffice, including Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and others.

Word Processing: You’ll also need a word-processing program such as Microsoft Word. Alternatively, free programs like Google Docs, WPS Office and LibreOffice are suitable options.

Portable Document Format (Pdf): Several course documents are provided in PDF format. If you don’t already have one, you can download a free PDF reader from Adobe Reader.

Web Camera (Webcam): For proctored exams, you will need a webcam with a microphone. Your webcam can be part of your computer device or tablet. Additionally, for student verification and project defense purposes, you must have a webcam. Your internet connection should support video transmission for these purposes.

Mobile Applications (Zoom, Moodle etc.): To facilitate your learning experience, we conduct live classes via Zoom and utilize Moodle as our Learning Management System. For your convenience, you can easily install these apps from the Google Play Store or Apple Store.

7. Learning Platform

7.1  Our learning platform supports all the major modern browsers. However, for optimum performance we recommend that you use the latest version of Chrome.
7.2 Your web browser may have active pop-up blockers to suppress unwanted advertising. Similarly, you may be behind a content blocking device such as a firewall. It may be necessary to reconfigure or disable these. If you are accessing the learning platform from work or in a public place you may have to contact the system administrator to do this.
7.3 Computer equipment and internet access costs are your responsibility.

8. Applicable Law

The contract between you and the University, your use of this website, and any dispute that may arise from them shall be governed by and subject to the laws of the United States of America and the state of Florida.

9. Other important terms

9.1 We may transfer this agreement to someone else. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organization. We will always tell you in writing if this happened and we will ensure that the transfer does not affect your rights under this contract.
9.2 Courses are not transferable between students.
9.3 Students must not make their online passwords available to any third parties.
9.4 Students must meet the Minimum Study Requirements in any year of study.
9.5 Courses must be completed within the Maximum Period of Study outlined in the Rules of Assessment.
9.6 This contract is between you and Northeast Coastal University. No Rights under this terms and conditions can be transferred or assigned to a third party.
9.7 If any provision of this agreement is determined to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions of this agreement shall remain in full force and effect to the fullest extent permitted by law. The invalid, illegal, or unenforceable provision shall be deemed severed from this agreement, and the parties shall make good faith efforts to replace the severed provision with a valid and enforceable provision that achieves the original intent of the parties to the maximum extent possible.
9.8 Regardless of any delay in enforcing this contract, we reserve the right to enforce it at a later time. Our failure to immediately insist on compliance with any obligations outlined in these terms, or our delay in pursuing action against you for breaching this contract, shall not waive your responsibility to fulfill those obligations.

For Volunteers:

By participating in the Christian volunteer lecturing opportunity, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

Eligibility:

a. You must be of legal age or have the consent of a legal guardian to participate.
b. You must be a practicing Christian and hold beliefs consistent with Christian principles.
c. You should possess relevant knowledge, expertise, or experience in the topic you will be lecturing on.

Volunteer Commitment:

a. You agree to dedicate your time and effort to prepare and deliver lectures on Christian topics as assigned by the organizing entity.
b. You commit to maintaining the highest ethical standards, conducting yourself with integrity and respect towards others.
c. You understand that this is a voluntary service and that you will not receive financial compensation for your lectures.

Content and Materials:

a. You acknowledge that the content of your lectures should align with Christian teachings and values.
b. You agree not to promote or endorse any content that contradicts or opposes the fundamental tenets of Christianity.
c. You confirm that all materials used in your lectures, including visuals, audio, and written content, are either your original work, properly credited, or used with appropriate permissions.

Confidentiality:

a. You agree to maintain the confidentiality of any sensitive information shared with you during the course of your involvement in the volunteer opportunity.
b. You will not disclose personal or confidential information about individuals or organizations without their explicit consent.

Compliance with Laws and Regulations:

a. You will comply with all applicable local, regional, and national laws, as well as any regulations or guidelines pertaining to volunteering and educational activities.
b. You are responsible for ensuring that your lectures do not violate any copyright laws or intellectual property rights.

Indemnification:

a. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the organizing entity, its representatives, and affiliated individuals from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your participation in the volunteer lecturing opportunity.
b. The organizing entity will not be held responsible for any harm or loss incurred by you during your involvement in the opportunity.

Termination:

a. The organizing entity reserves the right to terminate your participation in the volunteer lecturing opportunity at any time and for any reason deemed necessary.
b. You may also terminate your involvement by providing reasonable notice to the organizing entity.

Modifications:

a. These terms and conditions are subject to change at the discretion of the organizing entity. Any modifications will be communicated to you in a timely manner.
